The Space

Relax with friends and family under the heavens! Spend quality time together on the oversized covered deck as you grill your evening meal, watching the sunset, sunrise and the night skies in-between. Chat about the day's adventures throughout the interior of the genuine log cabin, huddled around the fireplace or large kitchen table in the main living area, or settled into the cozy loft with a digital board game on our Infinity Table. As you wind down, relax in the hot tub and give your body a break after hiking the Hocking Hills. Settle in for the night on one of our premium mattresses and fall asleep as you gaze at the stars outside your window. Wake in the morning on your time t0 a nice cup of coffee and a walk around the large property and fishing pond. We know you'll be dreaming about this space for years to come after you've spent some of your best moments here.

Luxury Experience

Our cabin offers ground level entry with keypad check-in. You'll walk into the primary living area to the right with gas fireplace, 65" TV and a full kitchen straight ahead with large breakfast bar island seating and large dinner table. The kitchen offers full sized appliances, dishes, cookware, Keurig and french press, and a nice open feel. To the left, the master bedroom offers a king-sized bed with premium mattress, Roku/YouTubeTV, closet space and walk-out to the screened-in deck. Connected is a dual-entry expansive master bathroom, with spacious shower and dual sinks. Need to get some laundry done during your stay? Use our spacious laundry room, with detergent provided, or hang your coats out of the way.

The second floor is where many nights will be spent in the large loft with huge open-view windows. Prepare to battle your friends and family on hundreds of games on the Infinity game table, relax on the oversized sleeper sofa or settle in for a movie or the big game on the 65" TV! You'll be blown away by the featured hi-res photos of the astronomical wonders, all taken from our very own observatory on the property! Need to get a bit of work done while the family plays? Retreat to our cozy remote-work space with adjustable height desk and ergonomic office chair in the loft nook, or grab a book for anyone in the family to dive in to.

Additionally on the second floor and down the short hall, you'll find a full bathroom to the right with vaulted ceiling and skylight. Two bedrooms round out the space - one comfortable queen bed setup with a TV and in-room closet, and our bunk room - perfect for the kids to settle into or any of the "big" kids in your group. This room also hosts "the best bed in the house", with a perfect view of the night sky to fall asleep to!

The real crowd-pleaser for our home is the outside setup, highlighted by the only private open-sky observatory on the rental market! When the sun goes down, slide the motor-driven roof off and gaze in awe at a sky rarely witnessed with this level of clarity and beauty in pure darkness. Give our high-end Celestron telescope a try and take your own heavenly pictures with the smart phone adapter. Relax in the double hammock or on the futon with your closest friends - in late spring through early fall, sleep under the stars! When the sun comes up, explore our 11 acres - fish in our stocked quarter-acre pond, blaze your own trail through the wooded ravine, and play catch with the kids or the dogs. This place truly has it all!

**Note: Security Camera / Recording Device - We have one floodlight and camera facing the parking area to ensure security of the property and our guests. There is also another camera on the back porch, facing the observatory to ensure that the roof is closed when not in use. No private areas (hot tub, fire pit, porch or anywhere inside the cabin) are visible on either camera.

Hocking Hills State Park is a national and internationally acclaimed State Park. Stunning in every season, Hocking Hills features beautiful towering cliffs, thrilling waterfalls, and deep, hemlock-shaded gorges. With stunning ice formations in winter, wildflowers adorning the forest floor in springtime and vivid foliage in the fall, hikers and nature lovers have plenty to enjoy in this awe-inspiring park.

• Whispering Cave Trail (includes the "swinging" Hemlock Bridge) - 4.5 miles - Difficult. Features the second largest cave in the region with a 105-foot seasonal waterfall cascading to the floor below.

Conkles Hollow is one of the most spectacular features within the Hocking Hills region. Its sheer cliffs of Black Hand sandstone rise nearly 200 feet above the valley floor. The deep, cool gorge, which is only 100 feet wide in places and is considered by some to be the deepest in Ohio, has numerous waterfalls cascading over its sandstone cliffs. The cliff tops with their magnificent overlooks and the quiet gorge beneath offer visitors an opportunity to explore different habitats, each with its own unique plant and animal communities.

The John Glenn Astronomy Park is dedicated to sparking an interest in science, learning, and exploration by sharing with visitors the wonders of the sky, both day and night. Sadly, however, the lights of our modern world have, in recent decades, put our view of the heavens behind a veil of artificial light. Most of us live under a sky that gives only a pale, washed out hint of its former beauty. An astronomy park in the Hocking Hills State Park was inspired by our vanishing night sky. The Hocking Hills, in rural southeastern Ohio, is one of the few areas left in the state of Ohio where the night sky can be seen in its near pristine state. The observatory provides a venue for visitors to the Hocking Hills State Park to experience the night sky through a large telescope and with their eyes.

In 2007, Hocking Hills Canopy Tours started a zipline revolution in Ohio! It all started with our world-class Canopy Tour - the first of its kind in the midwest - which was awarded “Best Outdoor Adventure in Ohio” three years in a row by Ohio Magazine and listed first in “The Best Ziplines in America” by USA Today. We have zipline and other outdoor adventures for the whole family and more adventures than any other zipline company in Ohio!

Stargazer has proven to hold the keys to adventure around every corner - everywhere you look, there's another opportunity to see and do things differently and more amazingly than before! We love building memories by the pond, seeking out different star formations, and relaxing by the fire.
